Journey's End Update 4!
ESC key takes you to the MAIN MENU,
W, A, S, D controls character movement,
SPACEBAR to jump, and
MOUSE to move view.
E to interact with stone doors.
By the end of this level (level 3), I hope the player who has experienced this level will say "This game is AMAZING!" The emotions that I would like the player to feel is excitement, anticipation, fear, and in some instances, anger. I would want to see the kinds of emotions that I felt while playing some of my most cherished. Examples of those would be: Any of the Legends of Zelda games, Final Fantasy series, and the elder scrolls. With level 3, I decided to take the quest adventure aspect of Skyrim and implement it into this level. The eeriness of the dungeon coupled with the anticipation of what's awaiting around the corner.
*UPDATE*
Player test - player gave great feedback on what to change for level 3. The checkpoints need to be added to different areas and given a signifier. For example, putting a faint emission onto the checkpoint so that the player can see where to step. Another suggestion would be that the camera on the player be adjusted so that when they enter and leave a portal that it doesn't collide. Also, some of the rooms need to be changed up to avoid them being similar. One of the portals needs adjusted so that they do not start at the beginning and timing on the platforms needs adjusted. Other than that, I was able to have the player feel the types of emotions I was going for and I am excited to continue adding to the level.
